Classic Live-Action Films:

A Clockwork Orange

Wow, this movie is… wow. This film is a one of kind classic, in my opinion anyway.
Here’s the story, shortened by me(based on the original novel, but I haven’t read it, I really should):

Alex and his 3 Droogs(Pete, Georgie and Dim) drink milk, laced with drugs, in the Korova Milk Bar(it’s a kind of porn-artistic bar, milk comes out of a naked woman statue’s b00bs :P ), the milk gives them a need for ultra-violence(rape and that jazz). The kind of ultra-violence includes capturing and raping a woman while the leader sings the song, Singin’ In The Rain (and yes, it’s an actual scene in the movie, and yes, it’s awesome. :P ). Ultra-violence continues later on, until one final activity, which involves Alex, breaking in a peaceful woman’s house, stealing prized possessions(though he doesn’t actually do so). This leads to him killing the woman with an “important work of art”(a penis :P ), because the woman was getting mad since somebody broke into her house, threatening Alex(I’d be mad too, and scared sh*tless :P ). When Alex got out of the house, he was about to get an unexpected surprise… WHAM! One of the droogs hits Alex in the face with a milk bottle(from the Korova Milk Bar, laced with drugs). “Ahhh! You bastard, I’m blind! I’m blind to death!” The droogs ditch him, and the police find Alex, later on in the movie, Alex gets help, removing his need to do violence. Then he gets payback from people he was bad to(such as the bum in the beginning of the movie, and his brothers).
Then a happy ending, at the end(funny ending too :P )

Whew, now to discuss technical stuff. Most camera work was great, there were some handicam shots… Handicam shots aren’t my cup of tea, but I tried my best to put that aside for this movie.
Acting was also great. Not much more to say… Oh, one more thing, when Alex finds out two of his droogs are policemen, I would like to know what happened to Pete though, what he’s done with his life. I heard he got married in the book, I’m not entirely sure. I really have to get the book, and see how they are alike and different.

4.8/5
